Their gaze intensified, as they gave each other hot kisses. Books falling from all corners of the shelves. Evan's hand already curving Eileen's round breast.
When all of a sudden, Damon his P.A entered. "Boss, we caught them," he echoed. Evan finally let Eileen off his grip, while the latter straightened herself. They all walked back to the sitting room and alas! it was those masked men chasing after them. They had been beaten to pulp. When they saw Evan's entry, they cowered in fear.
Evan's eyes blazed with fury as he stepped closer to the masked men. "Who hired you?" he growled, his voice low and menacing.
The men exchanged terrified glances, one of them stammering. "W...we don't know what's you're taking about."
Evan's gaze turned icy. "Don't play dumb with me. I know you're not just some random thugs. Who paid you to take Eileen?"
The men trembled, one of them speaking up in a quivering voice. "We...we were paid...by..by...a man and a woman. They wore masks, but they paid us a lot money to grab her."
Eileen couldn't believe she was actually been targeted, the anonymous caller and notes were actually telling the truth. Her phone recording all the men's confessions. Eileen promised to drag De'marcus and Bridget to the pit of hell.
Evan's eyes narrowed. "What did they look like? Any distinguishing features?"
The second man spoke up, his voice shaking. "The man was tall, muscular...had a scar above his cheek. The woman was blonde, pretty...had a tattoo on her neck."
Evan's gaze locked onto Eileen, a silent understanding passing through them. He turned back to the men.
"You're going to tell me everything. And if you're lying...let's just say you won't leave this place alive."
The men nodded frantically. Spilling out their confession.
"They paid us $10,000 to kidnap her and deliver her to an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of town. We didn't know what they wanted with her, but we knew it wasn't good."
Evan's face twisted with rage, he punched both men hard that blood gushed out of their mouths. "You're going to regret ever taking this job."
Evan took his seat right beside Eileen, cleaning his stained hand with an handkerchief.
"De'marcus and Bridget, I'll bet my life on it that it won't escape them." Eileen said, her voice low.
Evan's eyes narrowed. "You know them?"
Eileen's gaze turned icy. "Unfortunately, yes. De'marcus Mann is my boss at work and Bridget...let's just say we have a history."
Evan's men exchanged grim glances, their faces set in determination. "We'll take care of these two," one of the men growled, as they dragged the masked men out.
Evan's eyes glued to Eileen's face. "I'll make sure they pay for what they've done. You're under my protection now. My sweet sixteen."
Eileen's expression softened, it was like she knew this man her whole life. A gleam of gratitude in her eyes, "Thank you, Evan."
Eileen's phone buzzed with a cryptic message. 'If you're still alive. Welcome to phase two.'
