"Why do you think Sam DaCosta lied about Adriana and his daughter, Diana?" Stuart asked Sharon.
"I don't know. Maybe he is just trying to protect Diana," Sharon guessed.
"Or maybe she decided to get revenge on a mother who abandoned her?" Stuart suggested.
"Ugh. I hope we are not dealing with matricide," Sharon stated. She then hung up and headed for the highway.
Traffic was sparse until she got within an hour of Nashville. The drive home took an additional twenty minutes, pushing the clock beyond working hours. Stuart sent a text informing her that he was heading to her house. Sometimes, when days were long, he would slip over to her place and take a nap. It usually meant that he had good information that could not wait until the following day.
