CHAPTER NINETEEN
LOGAN
Watching Kayla fall asleep in my arms is one of the best feelings in the world. She makes me feel safe and secure, which is probably ironic considering I’m the one that wants to make her feel that way. Regardless, she does. Knowing that someone as amazing as Kayla has feelings for me the same way I do about her makes me feel like I have finally gained back some control in my life.
Once I know she’s asleep, I slide my arm out from under her and quietly get out of the bed. I grab my phone and head out of the room. Once I shut the door behind me, I head to her couch, set my alarm, and fall asleep.
