Evy pov

Next day Carter and I were waiting for Lucas in Carter's place.

I was so bored, Carter was playing video game sitting on the couch of the living room.

when is he coming, is he coming or not

My thoughts got cut off by the sound of door bell.

I guess he is finally here.

Getting up from the couch i open the door and saw a grim looking Lucas was standing there.

He always look like he is so done with this world and always ready to kill.

"Come in" I said

He came inside and saw Carter was so busy playing video game that he didn’t even notice. He went to the couch and sit down.

I called Carter's name but he just ignore.

" Woah look Carter, she is so hot and looking at you, i guess she want you" i said and he immediately look around to find so called hot girl.

"Where, where is she? " Carter asked me

"In your dreams b***h " i replied with grinning

"Oh hi, when did you came Lucas?" Carter asked.

"A while ago" lucas replied

"Okey guys i found a kid who were abused by his parents and now his parents are in jail he got adopted, i talk to his adoptive parents they said we can talk to her. Her House is 20 away from here, so Let's go " Carter said

We all went there, i pressed the door bell and wait for someone to open the door.

The door open and a women at her late 30 greet us.

We went inside and first start to talk to her. That kid's name was Mira she is 11 years old.

She called Mira and little girl came she is so cute her had chubby cheeks that i wanted to pinch.

"Carter look at her she is so cute can i pinch her cheeks? " i asked

"A big nooo Evy" he said and i pout.

Surprisingly Lucas ses to be interested in this even though he didn’t say or asked anything but the way he look at Mira it feel like Lucas feel sympathy for her.

We question Mira in appropriate way not wanting to her her feelings. Carter were really good at it. I guess his playboy ways work somewhere.

Wven Lucas also asked 3-4 questions.

When Mira told how they abuse her we were all angry how can they do that to a little girl. They treat her like slave and his father even r***d her.

I kinda feel myself getting back in my memory where my parents also used to abuse me.

When i look at lucas he looked hella angry.

After Mira was done we told her we'll be back tomorrow.

Mira's new parents treat her like Princess and this helped her to over come from every things.

Carter got a call so he went outside for a bit.

Mira stare at us with her doe eyes

"Evy, Lucas you guys will be back again to see me right?"

"Yes we will" i said assuring her.

Lucas also nodded

When the hell will Carter come i thought.

After a minute Carter came.

"Evy I'm sorry but i have to pick up my mother from airport i can't drive you home. I'm so sorry " he exclaimed sadly

"It’s okay, I'll manage " i said with a smile.

"Okey bye it was nice to know you Mira, byeee" I said and we went outside

Carter left in hurry. I thought I'll get a texi.

"Come with me" a deep voice came from behind.

And that voice belongs to Lucas.

"Nah,don’t bother I'll manage" i said and about to go he again said

"Come i Won't bite "

I thought for a second but gave up and got in his car.

The ride was quite. So i start to play song it was one direction 'Steal my girl' i loved this song

I give him my address and after sometime we reached.

I got off from the car.

"Thank you, come inside " i said to him.

"Next time " he said and drove his car back.

Then i got into my house.
