Mom Untold

When I was walking back Ryder was waiting on the porch. At first i was a little upset because i wanted space but then when i thought back on what little Trea had told me, I looked up at him and saw that he was worried.

"I'm not leaving i just need time to think Ryder. These are big steps that you are talking about for our future and i really need to think about it." 

Ryder looked at me shocked because before i had left in my raged fit i told him i didnt want to talk about it any more and to stop trying to control me. 

"I know that I said a lot of mean things before i left and im sorry. I just feel like your trying to push me to give you an answer and im not ready to give one just yet. I really do need to think about this instead of just jumping the gun and ruining both of our futures. We really didnt know each other when we first got together so this is kind of a big leap we are talking about here."

Ryder shook his head. He still didnt say anything. Thats when i noticed that he was putting his phone back in his pocket. 

I wonder who he was talking to i thought to myself. 

We have been together a little over a year.. I feel like we dont really know each other because we mostly talk about me and my family but we really dont talk about his.

"Ryder... Whats your mom like?"

I felt crazy asking this because just a second ago I was talking about our future and now im asking him questions about his mom. Mental face palm.

He looked up at me and i could have sworn i seen a smile on his face. Not real sure.

"Mom..." He said. he walked over to the porch and leaned on the railing. Now im going to tell you. Ryder is a good looking man. He is well build and has arms for days.. Most of the time his hair is kept in a longish buz cut and his brown eyes look like honey when the sun hits them just right. He is about 5'6 and dont get me started on his tattoos.

"My mom is like no other woman i have ever met" Ryder said. He had the look of being very proud as he said this. "She went through alot when she was younger but she always took care of us kids and dad."

I havent met his parents. He always came up with an excuse as to why we never went around them. It made me wonder if he was embarassed about me or if there was something wrong with them.

"Why dont we go see them sometime? I would love to meet them."

Ryder looked almost like his shoulders dropped as he looked back at me. "I havent gone and seen them in awhile thats for sure." He said softly. "I tell you what. I will give you a couple of days to think and i will leave you alone about the whole thing about starting a life and family and when you give me your answer i will take you to meet them how about that?"

I looked at him shocked. I wasnt expecting Trea's advise to work but it did. I didnt have to think about my answer because i really did want to know what his family was like and i also wanted the time to listen to Trea's story and make my decision so it was like a win win i guess. I nodded my head. "Yeah i can agree to that." 

He smiled at me. "Come on Snow Flake lets get some dinner and get ready for bed, we have both had a long day and I'm sure that your ready to rest. Its starting to get late."

I took Ryder's hand and we went in and ate pizza and got ready for bed. im so mentally exhausted that i almost didnt hear Ryder when he told me good night and he loved me when we went to bed.
