The Hex

Four days in, I have settled into pack life, and it feels good to do so. It feels different. During the summer, any feeling or instinct related to being an alpha had been hidden behind the hex, leaving behind a strange concept of myself that did not really exist. Now, I feel those feelings. Those instincts. I feel like an alpha, and with my eighteenth birthday rapidly approaching, I feel those instincts sharpening day by day. Given we are no longer at school, Owen and I are getting up for the gym at six instead of five. Owen comes of age on Boxing Day, so this feels particularly charitable of him.
