Reese ~ The shrill sound of my alarm jerks me awake, surprisingly I didn't have the same nightmare about Jade stabbing me again—a miracle indeed. For a second, I don’t even remember where I am. My head feels heavy, my body sore. Yesterday’s chaos flashes through my mind like fragments of a nightmare. Finn’s cold eyes, the rink, the way he pushed and tested me, the way my wolf reacted. I sit up abruptly, my heart hammering. “Get a grip, Reese,” I mutter, pressing my palms to my face. The room is cold. I swing my legs off the bed, forcing myself to move, to focus. It’s already day two of training, and I promised myself I’d hold on until day four no matter what happens.
