Chapter 50. Of Blood and Family
"Yes?" Linta said, stepping from the kitchen.
"Chase and I have to go to Shield. Please, look after Jak. Also, we're leaving the dragonette behind. You can keep giving her the supplements. The other dragons will take care of her."
"You're taking Canessa and Nona?" Linta said.
Tempura nodded.
"I-I have something for you," Linta said. "Wait here."
Tempura stood in the Commons watching Jak sew his blanket. He was working fast. She figured he was halfway done with the first layer of stitching.
"Jak?"
She didn't know if she should tell him or not.
"Jak, I am going to Shield. I will say, hi to Vic for you," she said, kneeling in front of him.
"Hi, Vic," he said with a nod.
He never paused in his sewing.
"You take care of the dragons."
He nodded agai
