"Why are leaders riding juveniles anyway?" she said.
Traine didn't answer her, almost as if he didn't have an answer or couldn't think of one.
"Are we charging them?"
"No, Tempura. This is official business," Traine said.
"Okay, I'll have Jak double his blanket prices," she said, being a little flippant.
"That'a girl."
He headed up the steps to the Great Room.
Tempura sighed, then retraced her steps to pick up her coat. She hung the coat on the rack before she headed to the far end of the stable, toward the kitchen steps. She decided she better let the kitchen staff know she needed more baby mash. That baby needed to be fed every hour. Thank goodness she had Nona, the only mature female of the group.
