She reached over and found that his side of the bed was cold, but then she heard his voice. He was on the other side of the room, talking on the phone. “Are you kidding me?” he said, arguing with someone on the other end of the phone. “I know it happens, but the timing… I’m telling you, it’s suspect.” Morgan pushed up onto her elbows, trying to figure out what was going on.
