Evening had settled in and as usual, Nova and I were listening to the trees rustle in the wind. We could see the stars shine through the overhang of tangled tree branches. Those same trees blocked the moon's silver glow every night, leaving our simple, solitary life in darkness.
I was growing restless as I awaited Raiden to join us for a hunt. The evening was quickly turning to night. A few days had passes since I first encountered Raiden. He had appeared only once more since then, slowly trying to gain my trust without being too pushy. Tonight, we were going to hunt together and our wolves were going to meet. I was nervous about him seeing Cyra. I still never told him about my fire capability, or even that my wolf was unique. There was still so much mystery behind it all.
