I want to look away but I can’t. Not even for a moment can I turn away from the horror show. The room is quiet besides the commands coming from Dibb as he speaks to Team Steele on the other end of his earpiece. They were on standby waiting for Aria and Levi’s go-ahead to go in. They’re a weird mix of people, but all of them were hand-picked and highly vetted by Dibb and the men he trusts at the top.
I’m not his only client, Dibb’s connections might be deeper than my own in this alley. I’m glad for it as the officers that aren’t corrupt from multiple agencies work alongside Dibb’s men to penetrate the building. There are five of them in total. Not as many as we’d like but it’s what we could pull off. If only they’d move faster.
