Tony's POV “Mr. Williams!" The barista yells. I thank her and pick up my order, a fruit smoothie and banana nut muffin. I have Laurie to thank for getting me hip, her and Ms. Jo. The banana nut muffins from here taste phenomenal. The seat beside the window frees up, just as I was beginning to struggle to find one. I sit down, sipping my smoothie. No sentiments… nothing personal, a new ring, and moving up the wedding date. Laurie constantly reminds me of my place with her. When I think we're getting closer, we stay in the bitter limbo of the friend zone. The more time we spend engaged, why do I feel like it becomes more difficult to preserve our friendship?
