Chapter One

605 Words
Mark It’s been exactly 1 week and 3 days since our interlude with Danny, I haven’t told Stormy what he’s said yet because quite frankly she’s already insane. She’s spending countless hours doing one of two things, Planning our wedding or as we call it a mating ceremony, or she’s practicing her magic in the basement trying to become stronger. At night she roams the halls of the house or the roads of the compound, practicing her spells and talking to the wind. Athos follows her around sometimes to make sure she’s ok, but she’s been giving him the slip as well. The other night I felt her climbing out of the bed and I rolled over to watch her, it was like she was possessed. “Where are you going?” “I have to check on something, go back to sleep” “If you leave this room I will be coming with you” “I’m fine! I have to do this alone” “See, here’s the thing: you're not alone. You’re carrying our child in your beautiful belly and roaming the halls, roads, and woods alone, talking to the wind for comfort. I’m coming with you, I promise to stay quiet.” I say sitting up on the side of the bed and putting my sneakers on. As I pull the tank top over my head, I hear her trying to slip out of the room door without me. Then I hear her groan and a low growl follows, She was caught by Athos. “Athos, move please” “Nope! I guess you’ll have to move me. And trust me, I can dead weight like no other.” “You’re a certified asshole” “It’s funny Xiomara used to tell me that all the time… still won't change anything” “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to…” “No, don’t be. She’s dead but never forgotten, I have Xavier to console me. He’s the better part of her.” “Awes” She goes to give him a hug but he steps back away from her, avoiding her grasp. “Nope! I’ve been following you long enough to know you’ve been working on how to knock out our enemies. I’m good” I laugh as I approach them, she really was gonna knock him out. She pushes him out of the way and storms down the hallway and I think for the first time I notice how small she really is. Yes, she’s what she calls a BBW but compared to Me standing at 6’5 and Athos at 6’8 and both about 240lbs or more, she is very tiny. I run after her, Athos following behind me. She rushes outside and there sits her friend, the rain and wind, her smile broadens and she begins her chanting. We stay far behind her to avoid getting hit with whatever she’s doing but close enough to attack if something was to happen.  But nothing ever did, she just sat there chanting in the rain.  I need to tell her about the prophecy, I will tell her but I cannot wait any longer.  “I know about the War, we’ll be ready,” She says shouting to us still standing behind her.
