Chapter Three

369 Words
Mark Storm has been acting weird, even more so now than before. Every time I go to talk to her she begins stuttering and freaks out then runs away from me. We finally cornered her at the breakfast table, which seems to be the only meal she joins us for any more.    “So, how are you feeling love?” “I’m fine. You?” She says through a full mouth of Eggs and Juice. “Oh cut the s**t! Who was the pretty lady in the woods Storm?” Athos blurts out, stacking his and Xaviers plate high with pancakes.  “Oh, you saw her eh?” “No s**t!” Athos blurts as he shoves an entire cake into his mouth. “That was Selene.” She says sipping her juice, the way she said it was as if she was trying to convince herself of the truth. I just sat back and smiled at her, I remember the first time I met Mars. It was something I will never forget.  “Love, did she explain what’s going on to you?” I asked her.  “Sort of. She explained who my parents were, who I am and what I need to do.” “So, who’re your parents?” “Ummmm, maybe we can talk about that later.” “Oh, Conn we’re not good enough to hear the secret,” Athos says laughing will pouring more syrup on Xaviers Plate.  “f**k off Athos!” Storm says slamming her fork down onto the table.  “Temper, temper not good for a preggo to get angry,” Athos says poking fun, but she’s in no laughing mood.  She gets up from the table, leaving her food untouched. As she exits the room, we hear her shout from down the hall… “My father’s name is Lucifer, Apparently I’m the daughter of Satan and Selene.” We all just sit there stuck. I cannot believe I’m mated with the daughter of Selene and Lucifer, both of them are not the top picks for my father, Mars. This should be interesting.
