I awoke gasping for air, shrieking, certain I was trapped in those same walls where Micah’s and Rob’s bodies had been discarded. But instead of a dark, musty corridor cloaked in the smell of death, I was confronted by the bland sterility of a hospital room. I kicked hard, eager to be free of the sheets twining my legs.
