My Roar, My way paver(1)

After the nightmare I couldn't sleep, I wandered round the thick forest as everything kept coming back and replaying in my head. The whole invasion by the Rygnores, how the jealousy of one man destroyed a whole race, how friends suddenly turned to bloody enemies, the cry of the Devans as the attack was unexpected and we were not prepared for it. I could still remember how the Rygnores fought us with all there might and with the determination to take us off existence and take over our village too. Yes my people tried during the war as they kept breathing fire on the Rygnores, turning into any animal they can imagine of to fight the Rygnores but the Rygnores being aggressive in nature overpowered us with strong wind and also with the ability to control the waters they used that to quench our fire and quench us too. I can still picture the dead Devans turning into grass, being accepted by the soil as we were casted away and wasted by the Rygnores. I can still remember the time I took my final breath it was like I was carried by some force as I kept seeing the whole phase of my life playing backwards starting from my final breath to the time I was born but at the point of the time I was born, it was like my soul was interchanged with someone else's the whole ritual was an intense and a restless experience as I couldn't find peace till I was finally interchanged. Normally we fight and wage wars with humans and other beings together and we celebrate our victory together too and that made us to host many ceremonies together to honor that which was the reason for the peace ceremony. The peace ceremony was as a result of our victory when the human race came to our world with heavy weapons we've not seen and strange objects to take over us like they took over the wild animals and some other beings but they where unsuccessful as we fought them greatly together and sent them out of our world sealing the pathway between our world and theirs but that very day, we were fighting ourselves like we were never friends, like we have been enemies since creation. I couldn't even understand the whole thing as to the reason why the Rygnores king will let such a minor thing build hatred towards us suddenly, "maybe he never really liked our race I ended up saying to myself". As I walked to the river, I could picture the jealousy on the face of the Rygnores king the day my Father won THE BATTLE OF KINGS for the first time in our history, I could still remember the joyful noise of my people and the silent treatment of the Rygnores. "The battle of Kings is a peaceful fight between Kings to determine who is the strongest". To me then, the fight was just a waste of time but to my father then it was his life and hobby and also a way to prove that he is worth to be called a king.I always complained about the battle in my past life. I could still remember jokingly telling my dad that the name of the fight should be called The fight of Kings not The Battle of Kings as they are over hyping the whole situation. I couldn't help but remember how peaceful our village was till that great occurrence, how we were living in peace with the Rygnores and how stress-free my life was. Remembering the whole thing made me scared as I was afraid that this chance given to save my people from extinction will be ruthless and lost without being recovered. Through out that night, I found myself fighting with my thoughts and imagination and in the course of that I let out a very great and loud roar the loudest roar I've ever let out after the roar, I found out that I was a bit relieved and at the same time surprised that a Devan can actually roar more louder than a lion. The roar actually Disturbed my village, it attracted the attention of my people as it wasn't long before I saw the king's guard tracing the roar to the place I was. Immediately I saw them I was deliberating on what to do, whether I'm to hide or stay still and after the whole deliberation, I stayed still ready for them to come and meet me. They came to me and one of the guards took me to the king's palace. That was my first time of going to the king's palace since I was reincarnated. When I got there, I saw a young Devan girl of about my age in my previous body "that's the one I exchanged life with I muttered to myself". As the guard kept me and went to discuss with the king, I could hear him asking the guard if they were sure I was the one who let out that roar as I was very young to do so, I could hear him say him as a king haven't roared that loud before how can a young Devan girl like me do such. He even went on to ask them where they saw me and what I was doing at that Time. After there discussion, the king came out to meet me."What was a girl of your age doing in the river by this time instead of being at home? he asked"I looked at him and couldn't answer him since I don't know how to explain things to him. I only managed to lie to him telling him that I came out to train as I've always wanted to be a warrior though I didn't lie when I said I've always wanted to be a warrior. Looking at how surprised he was with my roar and how nice he was to me, I decided to use that as an opportunity to request if I could join the warriors. Immediately he heard that, he was unease I kept on pleading with him reminding him of his status and his ability to change the law if he wants. After much plea from me, he decided to give me a chance on the account that I must pass all the training phase successfully. I was so happy with the progress, at least if I get in, I can influence them and tell them of what is coming to us then we can defend ourselves as well b ready for it. I was planning on making sure my race is not wiped out and forgotten at least with me as a warrior, I can keep my people on guard before the attack.
