✨Elena's P.O.V✨

"Bye Grams, I will be fine I am just a few hours away ill come visit you on weekends. Please take care of yourself and if you need anything I am just a call away. I will come back to visit you whenever you need me I promise. I love you" I hugged my Grandmother a.k.a Grams while I was packing my bag as I was going to NYU. Yess I got admitted to NYU that too on a scholarship. 

"Honey, I am really really proud of you that you got an admit from the best university in the country. I am sure your parents are also feeling really proud of their grown up daughter. I miss them a lot and now I am going to miss you too alot honey", she started sobbing and that broke my heart eventually causing me to cry along with her. I wrap my arms around my Grams and soothed her. " I will miss you more grams,  the way I wake up next to you, seeing you prepare breakfast for me every morning with your beautiful smile just like mommy......" I started crying even more when I remembered my mother. My knees weakened and I couldn't stand. 

"I miss her grams I miss them both" I started crying again.  "I miss them too honey they are with you always I know that", said my grams assuring me with her beautiful smile. " I wish they could be here with me seeing me go to university, help me pack my bags and get ready for a new chapter of my life" I was laying with my head in my Grams lap and sobbing.

"Sweety please dont cry. They wouldnt like seeing you cry soo much, they hated it when you used to cry when you were young. Your daddy would go crazy when you used to come home with tears rolling down your pretty face and your mommy would do anything to make sure to bring back your lovely smile. She would bake chocolate chip cookies and serve you with a bowl of ice cream and you would instantlty start smiling", she said and remembering the chocolate chip cookies and icecream I also smiled and decided to bake the same using my mother's recipe. 

I ran to my room to grab the recipe book that my mom had kept but after she was gone I found it and kept it with me always. She would make the best chocolate chip cookies ever. It was like heaven with every bite there would be chocolate oozing from it." I smiled rememebring it and went to kitchen and started preparing it. Once I kept it in the oven to bake I headed back to my room for the last bit of items left to be packed up. " I gotta head to my room Grams to finish my packing" I kissed her cheeks and went to my room.

After about 2 hours of rigorous packing I was finally done with packing 2 boxes, 3 travel bags and my backpack. I headed back to the kitchen to see that cookies were baked and grams had packed then for me to take it to the university. But I opened the container and grabbed one cookie and filled my mouth with it. 

" Slow down sweety" grams said while I was busy munching on the freshly baked cookies. 

" I am sure going to miss you grams" I said hugging her tightly " so will I sweety" grams kissed me on my forehead and cleaned my mouth which had crumbs all over it. I giggled and was about to reach for another cookie but I remembered something. 

" where is Tuffy?" I asked her searching for my labrador. He hasn't come downstirs to play with me as he does everyday.

"oh! I forgot to tell you Caroline took him for a walk" grams told me. Caroline was my bestfriend she stayed in the house next to mine. She had shifted when we were in highschool and ever since we have been best frineds or i would say soul sisters. She was like a family to me and her parents also considered me as their daughter only. 

"when will she return?" I asked "she has gone just a few blocks away so should return any time soon" and just then the doorbel rang. I ran towards the door to be greeted by my Tuffy "my baby" I screamed to my highest pitch possible kneeling doen and he ran into me making me fall on my back. "I love you my baby" I squealed and kissed him, he too licked me on my face. Puching him off I stood up and went to hug caroline.

"Hey Care" I hugged her more tightly .

"Hey Elena" she hugged me with intensity. 

"Hows Tyler?" I asked giggling as she huffed. 

" He and his sluts whom he gets home every nigh, never going to change" she sighed. 

"Typical of him! " I laughed.

"I hate it , his room is right next to mine and all I can hear is moaning and screaming. I cant sleep at night peacefully" she said rolling her eyes.

I giggled again" poor Care she is soo innocent for all this". 

she shrug my arm playfully " I am not innocent" .

"oo really you dont even know what a blowjob is" I started laughing hard.

" What are you saying which job blow what!?!" she was confused and all over the place.

" I told you my little miss innocent" I winked at her.

This time she entered my house stomping in the floor when she hit something on her leg.

" OWW WHAT THE FUCKKKKK!!! you little shank piece of wood you just hurt me standing on my way" she was yelling at the wood and I was laughing on the floor holding me tummy tight. 

"I should have recorded all of that that was hilarious" I laughed hard that  my tummy started hurting and tears started rolling down my eyes.

"Come here tuffy" she called my baby to change the topic when I saw tuffy running towards her and licking her face. 

"OFF NOW!" I told tuffy and he ran upstairs into my room . "Thank You" she said  getting up from the floor and dusting the invisible dust from her jeans as she started walking with me upstairs into my room. 

" I am leaving in an hour" I told her and she got all emotional. "Sucks To Be You" she said but deep down she was sad. 

"I am going to miss you" tears dwelled up into her eyes and I opened my arms for her we hgged each other " I am going to miss you too" I said olding back my tears. "I promise I will visit you whenever possible". 

"Please take care of Grams she will be all alone after I leave. I Love You Care" I told her and she nodded.

"I Love You Too Elena".

"I'll call u as soon as I reach, Grams please dont worry okay." I told my Grams and Caroliine and put my last bag into the trunk of my car. A White Mercedes. This was my daddy's favourite car and after him gone I took care of it. 

"Ok honey, take care and visit us as soon as possible" I was about to cry but I hold them back. I hugged the goodbye and waved my hand for a final goodbye. I got in my car was was off towards NYU.

" You better text me ever second" I heard Caroline scream just before I took off and I giggled. 

At a stop I texted her " Tell Tyler to use protection we would not want baby Tylers running around" and started laughing hard. This lightened my mood as it was for the first time I was leaving my Grams behind alone. 

" Ooohhhh definitely wouldn't want that soo soon" she replied. 

" HE HAS A SLUT RIGHT NOW" she texted me again making my journey of departure a little less intense than I thought. 

I took a deep breath and hoped this new start would be as good as the previous years. 

The journey was 4 hour long and I had planned on taking a halt at a gas station to be filled with gas and take some take away burgers from in and out. I love burgers and french fries. I could survive on them easily. 

After 4 hours of listening to my favourite band one direction I finally saw a big sign naming NEW YORK UNIVERSITY. I was bedazzeled by how magnificent the entry was. I saw the surrounding finding many freshers waving goodbyes to their parents and sibling and that got my eyes dwelled up again. I gazed to another side where the parking lot was and saw an empty spot and parked my baby. I hate having to walk 1 mile just because I cant take my baby up till the entrance. A thought occured in my mind that what if I could take my baby til the entrance wouldnt that be awesome. Yes Yes other than polluting the environment! Why cant cars run on water and not on gas. there wouldnt be any pollution just vapor. 

ok ok I am finally here I need to thing about this than the other random ass topics. 

Whoopppeeee I will be attending next 4 years here in NYU. I just couldnt believe I had made it here. I pinched myself and the reality struck hard. I would finally be a university student. I couldn't describe my happiness. 

I opened my car's door slowly and gently put my feet down on the ground of NYU. I know I know I am over dramatic but who wouldnt be I was in NYU. I wanted to jump and dance and sing and do all crazy things but I saw my surrounding and compsed myself. I didnt want to be a center of attraction on the 1st day itself. However I would like to be a center of attraction to this marvelous institution. 

I am back to dreaming again. Come on elena time to see your dorm!! 

As I was headed to the building I heard something or I would say someone. "HEY!" it was a girl initially I was startled and about to lose balance seeing I had just stepped into the campus and someone greeted me with a warm welcoming smile. 

I waved back and smiled straightening my skirt pulling it just a bit down. She came close to me and extended her hand towards me " Bonnie, nice to meet you" she introduced herself. I looked down at her hand and then back to her face. I was wondering which places she would have touched before meeting me.. ahhh gross! Ik but I was taken aback as I thought I just made a friend on the first of of entering the campus itself.

"Elena!" I  introduced myself and shaked her hand twice before letting it go. We both stood there awkwardly seeing the surrounding. "Its a nice campus" I said breaking the awkwardness" one of the best in the country" she added. 

"yes indeed" I said nodding my head. 

"Lets get into the building and take a look of it" I asked her and she noded in agreement. We both stepped into the large building where there were thousands of students roaming here and there in search of their dorm room. I was also curious as to who would be my roomie. I secretly hoped that to be Bonnie because she was my 1st friend over here and we had quiet liked each others company. 

While searching she surprised me by holding my hand and entwines it with her. Kind of like an elder sister but it was cute. But in university this gesture could be quiet alarming to see when others are around. Anyways I didnt mind. I followed her as she leaded the way to a group where all the students had gathered. I was just taking iin the surrounding. The 7 storey building, winding stairs, cafeteria, a small refrigerator for softdrinks, the security cameras and the guards, the administration office all was like a dream come true to me. I had always envisioned myself as attending NYU since I got the sense of university education. While I was again zoned out I saw that Bonnie had stopped walking and her eyes are attached to the bulletin board. 

I took a look at what it said and saw that this was the list of list of students and their dorm room no. As there was a huge crowd of people I couldn't see anything hence I stepped out of the crowd and saw there was a girl who had dyed her hair with unicorn puke. Teens these days do anything I said to myself and giggled.  I pulled Bonnie out of the crowd and showed her the same she said the same thing and we both started laughing. We saw another boy wo had tattooed his half  head like seriously who does that. 

"That girl right there looks like Holy Mother of Sexiness" said Bonnie and I turned my gaze towards there to see whom she was addressing to. But instead of that girl I found myself gazing at a handsome guy besides her. He looked like a greek god and oh my godddd!!! he saw me staring at him.. FUUCK f**k f**k!!! I instantly turned my gaze towards other side. I was still imagining him, tall, marvellous physique, blonde hair, deep blue eyes with a tinit of green, smile that coud kill anyone and his abs were clearly seen through his white v-neck tshirt that was just the perfect amount of see through and he had a leather jacket over it. just real model. 

I was brought back to reality when bonnie tugged at my hand and pulled me towards other direction. NO NO WAIT my future life partner he is going. I cryed inside me. I haven't met him yet. Yes! I was crazy. HEHEHE

"Where are you taking me?" I asked Bonnie who was just making our way throught the crowd of people. 

"To grab our schedules, dorm room munber and the keys" she replied hurriedly and I nodded in agreement. I was again following her when we reached the office and gave them our details.I again started dozing off to the memories of my future life partner when Bonnie stopped and looked at me and giggled. 

"What! is there something on my face?" I asked her to which she laughed again. "Do I have dried droool on the corner of my lips?" I asked again worried a bit and took my hand towards my lips and cleaned whatever was there that made her laugh. 

"No dumbo! your face looked as if you were dreaming of some imagiinary boy" she started laughing again I was embarrased a bit because yes I was dreaming about a boy not imaginary but yes I was dreaming. 

"Why would you say that! really Bonnie" I said to her in annoyance to my embarrasment. 

"sushssh" she puts her hand over my mouth and smirks before I lick her hand making her take it away. 

Win Win! I applauded myself as I was released from Bonnie's assault to my embarrassment.

"Ewwww"  she exclaimed wiping it away and then I thought again that I licked a lady's hand whom I initially thought must have been to which ever places to imagine. Yucksssss!

"Ewww Elena What The --" she did not complete the sentence and that was the time I realized that she was a disney girl who didnt say cursewords like seriously!

"Seriously Bonnie! what are u a disney land princess that you don't say the word f**k" I asked her arching one of my eyebrow. 

"I tend to keep my mouth clean you see" she exclaimed being proud of wht she did.

"Amateur" I said giggling and she frowned. but technically everyone at NYU would be giving curse words and it is quiet normal for teens like us. She must seriously have the resilience to control the urge because I tend to use f**k in every f*****g sentence I f*****g speak. 

I was brought backfrom my thoughts when I squealed again " What was that! You called me an Amateur really Elena" she frowned and I tried to contemplate it.

"I ..... uh.... didnt mean to call you an amateur.... I just like the word amateur so I said it. No Offense" I was relieved at my skills of manipulation.

"None Taken" she said and smiled. I gasped as I had not lost my one friend that I had made here. 

Finally at the desk the lady asked us our names " Names?" I and Bonnie both gave her our details and she handed over our schedules and dorm room no. 

"Dorm room 323 Bonnie Bennet" the lady at the desk said handing the keys to Bonnie as she stepped aside. 

"Dorm room 333 Elena Gilbert" the lady announced my name handing the keys and my schedule. 

Bonnie again dragged me towards the room indicating to see which lock we were in. 

"You dragg me everywhere Bonnie!" I said and she smiled and here eyes glistened at what she saw. 

"OMGGGG Elena we are in the same block" she excalimed and clapped her hand in joy. I was happy too as we were in the same block just a few rooms away. 

"You barely noticed" I said rolling my eyes and smiling.

"Nice way of saying me I am slow Elena" she said and started laughing again I joined her in too. 

We were roaming around the buildiing geting familar with our surrounding meeing new people and that is when I bumped into the one and only MY FUURE LIFE PARTNER I was so intimidated  by his personality and Bonnie didn't realize I was with her as she was roaming around gazing. I stood there frozen my eyes met his and he looked at me. I then ralized that a height of 5"1 isn't a good one as he was around 5"8 and he looked down to see me. I gasped as i was out of breath seeing his perfect lips. I he then hold a girl's hand and hugged and kissed her goodbye and that was when I realized my dream was crushed miserably. He already had a girlfriend.

The Boy of My Dreams Had A Girlfriend!! I frowned and walked away from him in search of Bonnie.

I hope you all like it I know the chapter was a bit boring but I wanted to take it slowly so as to provide details of what the life of Elena was and how will she deal with the dream boy.
