Chapter 5: Hired

Adrianna was so happy that she finally had a job,

Although she had a lot to think about, she picked up her phone and called, but the person she called didn't answer,

Then, after two minutes, she received a message

message from a number she had just called, as the clouds closed in and got dark, she picked up her phone to read the message as she walked to a nearby bus stop, it would rain soon. ....

That was the text message she received from Denis' number, her own crush, the person she trusted to be her best friend....

She suddenly felt weak and overwhelmed, so she sat down as the rain began to pour down on her, in two minutes she was soaked, she sat there hugging her handbag,

she was sure that no matter how the rain hit her, the water wouldn't get through the bag and drain her phone, and it wouldn't hurt her as her heart was bleeding right now.

Denis had pretended to her that his father had called, but that wasn't true, he'd gone off to f*** his new girlfriend.

That proves he'd had enough of her to treat her like a stupid girl, she thought.

Damn, that hurt like s**t. She was so angry at herself, God, her stupid heart, and her unhappy life,

she had never gotten anything she had wanted in her life except this job she got today, she had no reason to feel happy or blessed, all the time she forced herself to be happy, it didn't happen naturally like it did for other people.

. Why did she even fall for someone she knew would never fall in love with her, never be with her,

she started to cry, she cried so much but it was hard to see her tears because it was raining so hard....her heart was bleeding

After many minutes of silent crying, she began to make noises.

"Why ..... Why me??? Why!!!!! God, why are you letting this happen to me?????? why?"

She kept on crying and asking the same question, "Why her!!! Suddenly the rain stopped pouring down on her.

She was surprised when she looked up and saw a plain black umbrella over her head

"I think you're done, get up, I'm taking you home"

said the male voice

"Hm"

She was stunned as she looked up at Rodrick, they both stared at each other.

Just like before, no one seemed to be able to block their gazes.... Why was she looking at him like that... damn.... Rodrick could only curse inwardly...

"Enough, you're going to be sick."

The words finally crossed his lips and blocked her gaze, Adriana looked away, sobbing,

she was still thinking about her bad, unhappy and miserable life.

" Dont worry i.. "

Before she could finish, Rodrick threw away his umbrella and carried her a princess style....

They were both shocked as Rodrick had carried her without warning and Adriana didn't respond to him....

so neither of them said a word, by the time he dropped her off in the car they were both soaked,

he took a towel from the back seat and gave it to her, and then he took one to dry his hair.... Damn, he looked like a sexy god, all she could do was stare....

"What else are you good at? i mean away from staring?"

He asked, breaking her out of her stare. They sat down in the driver's seat.

He drove the car off without anyone saying anything. Thanks to his research, he knew where her home was, while Adriana's mind had swallowed enough and she was so tired and her eyes were sore from crying.

She fell asleep sobbing. Rodrick was so angry with himself, how could he go there to get her....

Rodrick was on his way back to the hotel to get the documents they had picked up first but couldn't take with them because their boss was busy putting on a show for the love of his life,

Due to time constraints, he had to attend another meeting. After making sure he arrived safely, he drove back alone to get the document, driving so fast that he wasn't afraid of the heavy rain.

At the bus stop on the corner to the hotel, he saw someone.... No, a girl was sitting down there, crying so much that she was completely soaked,

the rain kept pouring down on her. But that heavy thick brown weavy hair.... No, it wasn't a girl, it was Adriana.

His heart skipped a beat. Why? Why on earth? Why was she crying like that, she had just been hired, it felt so wrong in his heart

From his research on her, he knew she was definitely a poor orphan, ......

Oooh, girls, don't tell me she's crying happy because girls are complicated and cry over meaningless things.

No, those weren't happy tears, she was hurt... even though he hated her so much seeing her like this felt wrong somehow, because he was still looking at her and trying as hard as he could to ignore her,

she was crying and making noises, and before he knew it, he took his umbrella and went straight to her.

As they sat in the car and he drove on quickly to take Adrianna to her grandparents, he was deep in thought...

What was he even doing? Taking a poor girl to her home?

That wasn't him... While he was deep in such thoughts, he heard her sniff several times...

"Damn I knew it, she's going to catch a cold"

he cursed inwardly, taking another towel and cover the sleeping beauty

"What?!? Did I just!!!"

He was so amazed at himself, what was wrong with him!!!?

He started the engine and drove to the nearby hospital while the lady continued to breathe heavily, panting and sniffling

After a few seconds, he was suddenly startled,

"Yes, of course, if anything happens to her, it will destroy Nilan, he will be devastated"

But there was more to it than that.... WHAT!!! ? Nooooo

With his thoughts about his actions, he could only think of the possibility that this girl was a witch.
