Chapter 19

1680 Words

Chapter 19Rebecca was enjoying a drink on the beach stairs when the first notification came in. At first, she was so thrilled by the party and her make-out session with Josie on the shoreline that she ignored the phone’s insistent buzz. She was probably too far away from the house to grab the Wi-Fi, and no matter how rich she felt, she knew she could not afford the roaming fees—even if she was absolutely dying to tell Indie everything that had occurred. After her performance, she’d changed into the only dress she’d brought for the trip. It was blue, spaghetti-strapped, and covered in yellow and pink flowers. She felt like a preschool teacher when she wore it, but now that moniker only felt more powerful. She couldn’t believe she’d manage to corral a group of young kids into doing a dance.
