Brendon pov

Walking in the guest house I faintly smell peaches and cream with an under tone of clove. I'm so confused as to why I'm smelling another scent so strongly. Its so faint though maybe its just from an omega who was here very recently. I lay down trying to rest but all I can think about is tomorrow when Damien wakes up. Will he be happy goddess I hope so. But what does this mean for the beta line ill have no heir and mom cant bare another child thanks to some rouges. Alex will have pups and her oldest son can take over alpha when Damien is ready to step down. “stop this. The goddess does things for a reason trust in her.” Blain says to me I know he is right but I'm not feeding his ego. All of a sudden I hear Damien yelling for the alpha. Rushing out of my room I see him James and Zane along with two red headed wolves. The she wolf looks scared out of her mind clinging to Zane's hand. While the male who looks a lot like her looks like hes trying to melt into James. Both James and Zane have serious looks on their daces they are not happy. Unless looking at the red heads their eyes light up with love. I've seen enough mate to know they are mate. I'm happy for them the turned 18 seven months ago and have been wanting their mates.

Alpha Jackson walks into the main room with his eyebrow raised. Looking to Damien. “we have been here ten minutes. Son what has you yelling already?” he asks pointing to the male and she wold Damien days “ they have me yelling. This is kade and Kari Zane and James mates.” He states the alpha starts to congratulate them when Damien holds his hand up “ the alpha promised Kari to another alpha as a gift for an alliance. Zane growls as Damien continues “ she to be kept clean meaning she cant touch another male unless related to her or shes punished. What can be done?” Alpha Jackson is staring wide eyed at the girl.

After a minute to gather his thoughts the alpha says “ why don’t we have a seat and you tell me everything. Damien please get us drinks.” Nodding his head he goes to the kitchen. I follow him. “hey whats going on?” I ask sighing he looks at me I can see how torn up he is and I just want to comfort him, but I touch him and feel the sparks I wont stop. He sees me pulling back and I see hurt flash in his eyes. He then straighten up “ come on you probably need to hear this to.”

Kari tells us all bout how alpha john didn’t have any daughters but the beta did. And to forge an alliance with this other alpha he wanted a high blood ranked she wolf as a gift. “ I was only 12 at the time so being under age. So he had to wait til I turned 18.” She says “we turned 18 last week. And hes is suppose to be here for the alpha and Luna ceremony. Then take Kari with him when he leaves.” Kade finishes. Alpha Jackson is listening to this getting more and more upset.

“well law states that if a party to an arranged marriage finds their fated mate and wants said fated mate. The marriage is dissolved or canceled. So my dear if you want your fated mate no one can stop you. And since your mate is my sons son to be gamma” “delta” James interrupts. Chuckling the alpha continues “I can never keep it straight. I still say name tags but that’s besides the point. Since Zane is to be the delta meaning a ranking member you will come to our pack so your free to stay here with us while we are here if you feel it would he safer.” “me as well? If my father finds out I'm mated to a male” he shakes his head tears pooling in his eyes as he looks at James “he will make me reject you then beat me and force me to take a she wolf as my mate. I don’t want to reject you.” Kade shyly asks. “Are you sure he would make you reject me?” James asks. “yes its been done before many times.” Kade says sadly.

The alpha growls his eyes glowing showing his wold making everyone in the room bow our heads and show our necks. “how dare he. Your mate is a gift from the goddess who is he to go against her.” He growls out the house shaking making everyone rushes to the common room. “Jackson what is it? Are you okay my love?” Luna Alice rushes out as she gets to alpha Jackson. “no everything is not alright. First they give their daughters as gifts for alliances and abuse them. Then I find out if they are not happy with your goddess given mate they make you reject them for one of their choosing. How am I suppose to help them when I want to rip them apart.” Alpha Jackson roars.

Luna Alice rubs his arm looking him in the eye “ remember why we are here. We cant let our emotions get the better if us. As of right now if someone is mated to one of ours and accepts them they are ours. They are welcome to stay here with us and will leave with us when we leave. That’s the best we can do right now.” She says calmly calming the alpha. A huge sigh is released from around the room as the alpha aura is pulled back. “now tell me who are these two young pups?” Luna Alice asks. Zane puffing out his chest “ this beautiful she wolf is my mate Kari winters.” As soon as Zane finished the Luna's head snaps to the young girl. “winters as in beta Roberts kin?” She asks. Nodding her head Kari says “yes Luna. My father is the beta. My brother Daniel is to become beta and jade is my twin.” “like I said mated to ours makes you ours if you accept your mate. Kari eyes light up looking between the alpha, Luna and her brother and Zane. Zane looks her in the eye “what ever you want to do little one.” “I want you” she wishers with that Zane crashes his lips to hers. James reaching out taking Kade’s hand in his looking him in the eye “what about you?” he asks carefully. Looking over at his sister then everyone one in the room. His eyes settle back on James. Reaching his hand to James cheek. James leans into his hand not breaking eye contact. Kade whispers “I want you.” Releasing a breath pulling James to him crashing his lips to James. Once they pull apart kade says “ I kade William winters accept you James storm as my mate.” James lunges at kade kissing him in what looks like desperation or relief. Pulling apart James reply's. “I James Adam storm accept you kade William winters as my mate.” Claps are heard around the room.

There is a knock on the door. Damien goes to answer it finding the future beta on the porch. “hello. How may I help you future beta?” “I'm looking for my brother and sister. Some of the warriors said they seen them walking this way.” Daniel says. Before Damien could says anything kade comes up behind him. “yes brother we are here getting to know our mates.” Danial pales “both of you?” Kade nods. “you know she cant. You know what will happens. You would do that to your own family?” Daniel asks. “I don’t care what happens to dad anymore Dan. I wont reject my mate like you.” Kade glares at his brother. “you know why he made me please don’t do this. You and Kari are all I have left. He wont make you reject your mate. All he wants is you to be happy and mated.” “and what if my mate is male?” kade questions. “you wont be. You cant be our line has never had a same s*x matting why would it now?” Daniel says. “lets just say I am mated to a male then what Dan?” Kade says. “you know what would have to happen kade don’t play dumb. Now get your mate and bring them to the pack house we will sort out new rooms for you. As for Kari she knows what she must do. Now lets go.” Daniel demands.
