I was sprawled on the floor, wrapping gifts from my last-minute shopping on the day before Christmas when I heard Mama calling out my name.
"Wait lang Ma, bababa na po," I answered, dusted off my shorts and got up.
"Ate, di ka pa naka-blue?" tanong ni Kirk habang kumakain ng cereal.
Blue ang family Christmas color namin this year. Last year ako ang pumili ng kulay, red and gold. This year, it's Kirk's turn and he chose blue and silver.
Even the Christmas tree is blue and we put it up September pa lang. It's always been a family affair, kasali pa nga si Ethan noong namili kami ng decorations. It looks nice, but not as happy as the colors I chose last year.
"Mamaya na bago sumimba," sagot ko bago nilapitan si Mama.
