Malakai's POV
My mood turned sour immediately and my eyes darkened in anger, excusing myself from the hall, I pulled Chris outside with me
"Book the earliest flight to Los Angeles for me. I have to leave as early as possible"
"But sir... The launching" he reminded
I had forgotten about the launch.
"You can go at night, you can't be absent in the morning" He added and I nodded with a sigh. I closed my eyes, dismissing Chris while I tried to catch my breath, tried to calm myself
"Are you okay?" I heard Emma ask and I nodded slowly
"I'm fine" My voice was low and I hoped it would convince her but it didn't work, instead it made her take a few steps toward me
"Are you sure? You left the hall in haste and you're not looking good right now"
"I'm fine" I repeated and she moved back in
