Staring at my wristwatch- I wrapped my robe around my body even tighter as I waited. It's the fall season so the night was chilly. I was waiting for Charles's arrival
'That i***t Kai, I told him to bring Charles by 8 pm max' I scolded inwardly checking my wristwatch again, it's already past 8
Just then, Kai's car pulled up in the driveway and Charles jumped out, running to me with an excited glint in his eyes, I squatted widening my arms for him
"Mommy" he shrilled and I smiled widely- he pounced on me with a hug and I carried him up, twirling him while his excited giggle rigged into the air
"You had a good time?" I asked ruffling his hair and he nodded vigorously. I sent him to tell Kai goodnight- he hugged Kai and ran back
