Finally, it was time for I and Charles to leave. Kai dropped us off at the airport and Charles was in years already, he didn't want to leave
"After your Mommy's event, you both will come back with me," Kai said, but Charles still shook his head; he was adamant.
I squatted in front of him with a sigh- after checking the time on my wristwatch, I found out we had just fifteen minutes left and Charles didn't look like he would stop crying anytime soon
"Do you understand what your daddy is saying?" I asked, he stared at me with tears blocking his vision. "He means, we're going back to say goodbye to Oscar and his mom. We'll come back and we won't leave again"
