Chapter 14: James Confronts the UnknownDusk was falling and Mina sat swaying in her chair at the supper table, too sick and too tired to think about rising to start the dishes. James was frowning, she knew, but right now she could barely lift her head. She clenched her hands when she heard him clear his throat. Dear God, all she wanted was sleep.
