Mrs. Onodera nodded, waiting for Mary to talk more.
"It doesn't matter how I feel for him, mother. It's clear as day that Kei and I live in two different worlds. It's impossible for us to be together." Mary sadly stated.
"Why are you thinking that way? And besides, you still don't know how Kei really feels about you. Why are you giving up so easily?" Mrs. Onodera questioned her stepdaughter.
"Looks like the kids are done picking all the vegetables... I think they need my help." Mary abruptly changed the topic. Afterwards, she stood up and walked towards the children's direction.
Mrs. Onodera helplessy sighed while watching her stepdaughter walk away.
"Did you see that, darling? Your beloved daughter is finally inlove." she whispered, as if she's really talking to her late husband.
