It was dark, pitch black, the floor was muddy and wet. Her labored breathing echoed in the silence of the night. She kept on running. Something was after her. She couldn't see it, but she felt it, the cold aura coming from behind. It sent chills all around her entire being, but what was she doing there in the first place? She knew she went to bed. That was true, she went to sleep. A sudden realization hit her. She was asleep. Nothing was after her. She never left home. "Breath Luna. Nothing is here. You have to wake up". She couldn't speak or move, but she was aware of her surroundings. " I should be used to this". All she needed to do was breathe and try to move her hand or a finger, enough to touch her skin. She couldn't breathe anymore, she was choking, but she also knew it wasn't real. And that was all that mattered. "Patience Luna, almost there". There was nothing she could do but encourage herself, and she would keep doing that. She would always be grateful that she could at least console herself till she could hear her own voice and feel like a living and breathing human. She was able to move after many efforts, but she couldn't feel her body, at least not yet. "Almost there Luna" She finally got her body to respond. She opened her eyes and knowing quite well that what would come next were her tears, she didn't hold back, she could never hold the tears. She always wondered why she would always fall in such a state. She realized what she had was medically called predormital sleep paralysis. She found that out when she searched the web. But she could never get used to it. It came without warning. She would always think she had an idea of what death might feel like. Well, she was pretty dark. No one knew she had problems. She would often sort them out herself. She needed to sleep. She worked as a sales person for a grocery store while preparing for her exams. She never enjoyed the 15 hours she had to be there, nothing ever felt noteworthy about it. She picked up her phone from the nightstand. "2:30?? so slow" She had a lot of messages, but still shaky and teary-eyed to reply any of them She thought of going through her feed for something gory to watch but found nothing. She had an obsession for anything dark. She was scared of just going to sleep. "ooh well, officially my ceiling and i"she said with a smile
