MARGIE
I found Delrux preparing the oversized gray suitcase. What might that suitcase contain?
"You're here, Lady Margie. This suitcase is yours. All the time you've been here," Delrux said.
I just nodded in response. My eyes went to Vivi who smiled broadly at me. She was standing on the edge of the metal table.
"You're going to board a spaceship that's going to earth. Everything's ready. You have to go at the exact time to the earodomo," Vivi told the two of us.
We were going downstairs when my nepon rang in the pocket of my pants. I immediately picked it up and looked at who was calling. Miss Alliana's name.
I was about to answer the call when I felt the bulk of a body hit me that caused my nepon to drop on the floor. I would have picked it up on the floor when a hand picked it first.
"Don't be clumsy, babe." Hale's voice in front of me.
I feel like my brain is bleeding at the words from him. How can I understand him if I know that I have nothing in the language he is fluent in.
My face was full of wonder in front of him. My eyebrows rose at the laughing reaction he had on his face.
"Why is your face like that?" I couldn’t help but notice his reaction.
He raised his left hand holding my phone and gently tapped my head. "It's funny how you react, babe. Wondering at the words I'm saying."
I grabbed the nepon in his hand that was still on my head. Gradually my face warmed up and I listened to what he said. Am I funny? This man is also shameless.
"You're happy now?" I said sarcastically. I hit him on the shoulder and left the house first. Argh! I liked to strike this suitcase I was holding at him. Thankfully my parents raised me to have good manners and not to offend those people like him who are not gentlemanly.
"I think someone was annoyed with what I said..." He spoke behind me as he followed. He thought he would annoy me? He did not know me at first.
"Who is it, Sir?" I pretend I don't know what he's up to. We went out the gate. Outside awaits the black car. The driver immediately took my suitcase in hand.
"You know who, babe." There is the word beb again. What does that mean?
"I do not know." I smiled at him broadly before I entered completely into the back seat of the car.
At the other door, he entered and sat down next to me. After the elderly stuper put the suitcase outside the back of the car, he entered the driver's seat.
"Dwan, let's go," Hale said.
"Yes, Sir Hale," the driver said politely as the vehicle's engine turned on.
I silently watched out the window. Comforting myself not to get bored on the trip. Sure, I'm already obsessed with what the person next to me is saying while he's playing nepon. I couldn’t understand what he was playing. All he does in the game is shoot.
"Damn it! Damn you! Yes!" There he is again. Will I be able to afford a day with this man? Or I hope I don't go crazy because of him.
It was about half an hour's drive when we reached — Dunene! Is this my family's earodomo?
"Why is your face like that, pale? What's the matter with us, babe?" He noticed my expression.
I turned to him. "Why didn't Delrux say the aerodomo he says belongs to my family?"
He was silent for a few seconds. "I don't know about my father, and you're rich. I thought you were a simple person like you."
He even had the guts to say those things. How do I enter? One of my father’s staff would recognize me inside. I bit my lower lips mostly looking at the aerodomo. We are in front of it.
I didn't have time to look at Hale when he put the hat on my head. "Come on, babe." And came out first.
I secretly smiled. He also has a gentlemanly side. I got out of the car. He held the suitcase and motioned for me to go inside.
Many people come in and out of the aerodomo. . Hale handed something to the two guards guarding the large glass entrance to the aerodomo, wearing a uniform color blue and on their right chest the badge with their name on it.
I stood quietly beside him as I looked around until my gaze turned to a man with dark blue hair holding a cane. He was talking to a woman with wavy black hair in an elegant dress — a knee-length green floral long-sleeved dress. Its bright green shoes have a long heel and an expensive bag is attached to her left arm. I averted my eyes from the two when I noticed they were looking in my direction.
The cold puff of air from the machine in the corner surface of the place clasped me. I felt Hale grab my hand and pull gently toward the closed door on the right. Standing there was a female waitress who plastered her face with a wide smile on us.
I turned around and did not expect my parents — the man with the cane and the woman in the green dress — to approach us. They are my parents ... Here they are approaching us.
"Good morning, Mr. Hale," the woman greeted Hale. Hale gave the stewardess a sweet smile.
I would have pulled back the hand he was holding when he held it tightly.
Hale handed the card again to the woman who looked sticky at the man. What does that look mean? The woman glanced at the card she was holding and moved her head up and down to us.
"You can come in now, have a nice trip, Miss and Mr. Hale,” the stewardess said along with her broad smile.
"Thank you so much," I said, returning a smile to my lips.
The woman pressed the green button to her right. We heard an iteco voice greet us as the closed-door opened.
"Mr. Kaizer Hale Ferrgan?" I could not move to hear the familiar voice behind us.
Hale immediately turned to face my parents. I have difficulty breathing in the nervousness that surrounds my system. Both my hands are sweating.
What now? My parents can't see me like this and with the man. Young people in Odessa are not allowed to go with the opposite s*x unless they are dating. There is a law enacted by the Queen in the constitution of Odessa that whoever is found to be with you of the opposite s*x and you are not a lover is exiled to Forgero, a place in the southern part of Odessa located where everyone does not follow the law. exiled, depending on the gravity of the offense the punishment imposed. That place looked like a vicious hell.
I don't want to go there and I don't want my father to know even more because the executioner is even crueler than his discipline if I end up in that matter.
"Come inside first, babe. Just wait for me there," Hale whispered to my left. Reason to get me back on track.
"Who is he with you, Mr. Hale?" My mother's soft voice.
"My personal secretary, Mrs. Esella," Hale replied politely, he is so fluent in the Odessian language, not even a single word he spoke when he was with me.
I stepped into the open door and walked straight for a week. Do my parents know Hale? What might be Hale’s position on the Odessa Council? I feel like Hale isn’t just a simple son of Sir Delrux.
I felt the door close and the already bright hallway darkened and a bright yellow of light coming from the square bulb in the ceiling a meter away from each other.
I could see no border or door in the hallway. It looks like I've been walking for five minutes. Maybe even ahead. My footsteps and the noise of the suitcase wheel can be heard now with a pair of footsteps approaching behind me.
From the scent I smelled, I knew immediately that it was Hale.
"Women are really too lazy to walk," he said as I walked along. Both of his hands were stuck in the pocket of his pants. He looked straight ahead.
What did they talk about with my parents? Who is this man?
I was silent until we reached the far door. It opened automatically and two tall stewards greeted us. One took my suitcase and the other the three of us followed until we reached the exit. I was exposed to the large dark blue spaceship. It is oblong with a thin circle on the head and similar to the lower back.
We rode on the round metal that floated onto the vehicle. Our ride stopped under the spaceship and we climbed into the round entrance.
"Welcome to Aurona," the two stewards said suddenly.
I rolled my eyes around. The attire of the passengers aboard the Aurona was unique. It was like my dress and there were some women wearing dresses as I had. I felt like I was in a small community because there was a small park and a children's playground on my right side. There were all kinds of shops standing to the left on my side. Not one of the people here looked at us. They are busy with what they are doing.
We again followed the two waiters into an elevator made of shiny blue glass. As we went upstairs, I just now noticed that it had not only three floors but more than five. We stopped on the seventh floor. The two men came out first and as before we seemed like dogs following them.
We went through five doors when we stopped at the seventh door. "Mr. Hale, here is the key to your room. If you need anything just call us through the nepon inside.”
Hale opened the room as the two men left. When he opened it, he immediately took my suitcase. He motioned for me to enter first but I did not move from where I was standing.
"Don't you want to come in?" His voice was full of wonder.
"Don't I have my own room? I can't share a room with a man. That's not allowed," I replied and looked at his face.
A corner of his mouth rose that I couldn’t figure out why. "Don't worry, the room has two beds so I won't hurt you. Trust me— believe me, babe." His voice was serious.
"Even though I'm a woman. Give me my own room," I insisted.
"It's okay, sleep out there. It looks nice and comfortable inside." He went inside and was about to close the door.
I looked down the hallway and at the floor. I really don't intend to sleep on this cold and hard floor. I piled up to breathe. I can't do anything more. Argh! Why did Delrux only take one room? If only he told me about this thing and hopefully I can get my own room. Annoying!
"Wait, I'll come in," I said while blocking the door with my palm.
