Laura's POV The first thing I wanted to do when I opened my eyes was stretch.Unfortunately, I couldn’t. Because sometime during the night, Daniel had apparently decided I belonged in his arms. Not beside him. Not near him. In his arms. His chest was pressed against my back, one arm securely wrapped around my waist while his warm breath brushed lightly against my neck. And the worst part? I liked it. Far too much. A smile threatened to appear on my face. I wanted to stay exactly where I was. I wanted to fall asleep again. I wanted to forget about work, responsibilities, reality, and simply exist in this moment. For the first time in years, I felt... happy. Truly happy. And that terrified me. Because life had taught me one important lesson: The distance between happiness and disaster
