Chapter Ten Day Seven When Olivia woke on the seventh morning, she was unaware of the number of days that had passed in her Cell Block 7. Sunrises and sunsets all melded into one, one day indistinguishable from the others. She remembered the moon most often when she happened to gaze up and saw its next phase slowly passing before her eyes. But there was no moon at that hour, just a shard of light that lasered through the trees like a bolt of lightening and blinded her eyes. For a moment, she wondered if she was still dreaming, however when she turned to her side, away from the furious sunbeam, she opened her eyes and smiled at what she saw. Lying just inches from her face was a candy bar. A dark chocolate Snickers Bar in fact. She blinked several times to be sure it was real. She smile
