Chapter Thirteen Olivia whipped up a fresh red sauce and served it over spinach ravioli she found in the freezer. A salad of fresh greens and a bottle of wine completed the simple meal. They both were famished and ate their meal on the veranda with little conversation, enjoying the silence, the meaningful glances, the momentary pauses when their eyes met, and a self-conscious Olivia nervously looked away. Her bashful sub manner had continued throughout the evening, perhaps a natural extension of their s****l afternoon, but hardly what was normal behavior for her.
