Chapter SixAfter spending most of the previous evening and a good portion of the night pouring over her mother’s field notes, Thalia realized that she needed help. Early the following morning, she was tapping on her father’s office door. “Come!” her father called out. “Papa, could we talk?” Thalia asked, entering the room. “Thalia, what are you doing up so early?” her father said, smiling at her as she approached his desk. It was, as always, completely covered with papers. Thalia had never given much thought to what her father worked on here, but now she wondered if he continued on with the work he and her mother had begun in Greece.
