Beulah I slept for a long time. Night had come round again. Mr. G, he"d been plying me with chicken soup and tea and grilled cheese sandwiches. I looked forward to it when he came clumping in carrying a tray for me. I hadn"t thrown up in a few days and I think my mind slowly started to focus around the edges. I"d been in that fuzzy world for so long. I figured Mr. G was sleeping. Although I felt better, I didn"t have any strength. I felt like a little baby in a cradle. I wish I"d had a momma to cuddle me though. But I did have Grammy Robinson, bless her. She gave me everything. She and Gramps never held back and now that my mind had returned, I felt nothing but shame. How could I ever make it up to them? How could I ever thank Mr. G for helping me out these past few days?
