Chapter V The invitation

Infirmiry

I woke up with a banging headache, as I sat on the the bed, I look around realising I'm in the school infirmiry.

"Ugh f**k my head"placing my hands at the side of my head.

"You hit your head pretty hard.".

I heard a voice from the background as I turned to see who it is and to my surprise its Damian. "What?". I blurted out as I instantly regret, feeling the ache hitting harder.

"Actually It's my fault, I crashed into you, I was in a hurry and you just came out of nowhere so you fell, and blacked out and I had to carry you to the infirmiry." Damian said walking towards me as he took a sit.

I sat up straight adjusting to my comfort. "No it's not your fault" I said to Damian "it was mine I didn't see where I was going". I say looking at the ground then back at Damian who was looking at her. We both sat there staring at each other until we were interrupted.

"Ok I guess you're good to go, you only suffered a mild concussion" a nurse says entering the room, looking at her notepad then looked at us then back at her notepad to write some notes.

"Here" she said giving me a piece of paper and a plastic container that contains.....

"Aspirin, one in the morning and night" the nurse says and also you and your boyfriend can leave now."

"He's not my boyfriend".

"She's not my girlfriend".

We both say in unison.

"Riiiight". The nurse says looking bored as she made her exist.

I immediately stood up from the bed almost losing my balance.

"Hey...easy". Damian says holding my arm.

"Thanks" I say looking up to Damian who gave me a smile.

We both made our exist from the school infirmiry. I look around to see it's already recess.

"What's up Damian!" says a boy with brown hair and hazel eyes. He wore a grey T shirt with a blue jeans and black and white sneakers as he approached us.

"Hey bro." Damian says they both made a fist bump.

"We didn't see you for training, coach is kinda mad".

"Yeah something came up".

I look at both of them, like seriously don't they know I exist?.

"Ahem" i said to get their attention.

"Oh hey, I'm Adam". He strecthed out his hand as I took his hand and shake. "Diana".

"Didn't see you there". Adam says as he chuckles. "So Damian, something DID really came up huh?. Adam smirk at me as he puts his hands in his pocket. "Damian seriously you guys did IT at the infirmiry?...like seriously bro...teach me!".

I frown at his statement and folded my arms across my chest.

"No bro, its not like that" Damian says as he chuckles along.

Are they for reals, don't they know I'm standing right here?..ugh boys I shake my head and left.

I head to the cafeteria were I sighted Mabel.

"Hey Mabel" I said sitting right next to her exhaustingly.

"Woah Diana I've been calling you, probably thought you didn't come to school and what happened to your face?...you look like a trainwreck" Mabel says pointing at my face.

"I probably forgot my phone at home, on my way running to school, i accidentally crashed into Damian and blacked out and I woke up in the infirmiry". I say putting my head on the table.

"Hahahahaha". Mabel laughs so hard spilling juice from her mouth. "Diana...you blacked out?...lol...speaking about blacking out, tell me....how does it feel-

"Painful". I say putting my face on the table.

No!...not you, like how does it feel crashing into Damian's rock hardy chest like?".

I popped up my head looking at mabel like wtf."Seriously all you care about is Damian's chest... thanks for the concern." I say.

"Hey losers". Rebecca says with her blood thirsty gang as they follow behind.

"So I see your hanging out with my boyfriend". Rebecca says leaning over the table pointing at me with her perfectly manicure nails.

"Excuse me your boyfriend?". Mabel say. 

"Yes Damian, my boyfriend". Rebecca says with her high pitched voice.

Mabel and I both look at each other and began laughing at her. Rabecca look at us like we were crazy or something.

"Lol if he's you're boyfriend then why did he ditched you and your d**k eating gang to grab a coffee with Diana?". Mabel say smirking devishly at her.

Rebecca was shocked as her eyes were wide thinking it might pop out from her head.

She glared at me and hit her hand hard on the table. "This isn't over!." She says in a high pitched voice and walked away fastly as her gang follows her along, making everyone to stare at us.

"Damn Mabel... what's gotten into you." I say to mabel smiling at her.

"Eh she had it coming anyway."

RIIIINNNNGGG!!!!.... finally saved by the bell.

Diana and mabel went to the lab for their 5th period which is chemistry.

"Now everyone I've chosen a lab partner for you all it's on the notice board over there". The chemistry teacher said.

"Hey partner."

I look over to see...the guy I recently met at the infirmiry. I didn't bother to reply back I only open a text book in front of me. "God give me strength." I mumble.

"Wow the silent treatment...I like it.". He said smirking at me. I rolled my eyes at him and tried to look for something to distract myself from listening to him. Wish I could slap that dirty smirk away from his face.

"You left us stranded back at the infirmiry."

"Oh I'm sorry did you expect me to stay listening to your s*x talk fantasy about me and Damian?".

"Hey it was a joke ok".

"No it was offensive not every girl falls for your dirty talks you know".

"Ok fine my bad can you forgive me...". He say smiling at me. And I smiled and nods at him.

"Ok class open to page 35 of your textbook".

RIIIINNNNGGG!!!! There goes the bell for the final period.

"Ugh finally!...now I can go home!" Yelled a student who quickly stood up from his sit.

"Collins, detention for you". The teacher said pointing at him.

"Oh come on!" The student said in frustration.

"So do you have any plans tonight or what?." Adam say as he follows after me.

"Why do you care what I do tonight." I say to him going through my phone.

"Well Damian is throwing a party at his house."

" So?".

"Soooo....I'm inviting you"

"I'm not gonna make it I have things to do".

"Ugh...Seriously can you just live a little?".

"Why do you care, you don't know anything about me". I say opening my locker.

"Lol I know you plenty already, I'm good at reading people, like really good, should i prove it to you?".

I look at him and give a nod.

"Ok...so you're a tomboy, probably never have s*x before or kissed a boy or even have a boyfriend, you're shy and Mabel is your only friend you hangout with and love spending time playing videogames." He say leaning on my locker with a dirty smirk on his face. I didn't realize my mouth was slightly opened as I was in a mini trance but I snapped out of it.

"Did Damian tell you this?". I said getting annoyed.

"Nope he didn't".

"Then how do you know I play videogames". I say. "And where did you get the idea I've not kissed a boy before". I say pointing at him.

"Ok the gaming part Damian told me".

I shake my head at him and close my locker.

"Come on Diana it's just a party" Adam say as he gives me an invitation paper. "Hope I'll be seeing you tonight." He says winking at me as he heads out of the school hallway.

I blushed a little and look at the paper it's in black color and the background pictures have d***s of drawing all over it. I chuckle at it.

"Diana" I turn to see who called me but its Mr Kennedy our math teacher.

"Mr Kennedy" I say in a surprise tone hiding the invitation paper behind me.

"Could you meet me at my office? In 3 minutes?."

"Sure".

Three minutes later

I waited in Mr Kennedy's office as I sat down. He opens the door as he walks towards his chair sat down.

"Do you know why you're here Diana?" Mr Kennedy ask me.

"No" I say bluntly.

"You're failing math."

"I rolled my eyes" at his statement. "pfff I don't need math when I'm in University". I say.

"Yeah you don't, but you need it to graduate high school" he say. "No good grades in math equals No graduation, you'll be stuck here for another year, so I'm going to set you up for a tutoring class with your fellow student whose also good at math, so when I do I will let you know."

"Is that all Mr Kennedy" I ask.

"Yes that is all you are free to leave."

I opened the door and head to the hallway. Someone close my eyes from behind as I removed the hands to see Mabel.

"Hey what's up, been looking everywhere for you, what you got in your hand there". Mabel took the invitation paper and reads it. "OMG a party!, and LOL drawing of d***s real classy and you also got invited?..... that's odd. When did you start getting invited to parties cause you never go to any parties". She chuckles.

"Well It was given to me by Adam"

"Adam?...whose Adam". Mabel asks still reading as she flips the invitation paper over.

"Damian's friend". I say.

"Holy biscuit... Damian has a friend?, Is he Hot!?." Mabel say with excitement in her voice.

"Eh you can see for yourself".

"Aren't you going?" Mabel ask.

"No" I say bluntly.

"Come on Diana this is my ever first party, you know I've always wished to get invited, please please please do it for me if not for you". Mabel came in front of me begging.

"Fine I'll think about it...now quit whining will you?". She hugs me hard that I couldn't breathe. As we walk back home.
