Shake watched carefully from a look-out post he’d established closer to the building but didn’t see Deeter Manson aboard one of the departing hogs. As the sky grew darker and crickets began to chirp, he watched a steady stream of cars and pick-ups roll in and out of Pedro’s parking lot.
