The Baroness
Ellen W. Whitsingras was a true Nordic Beauty. She was, in fact, legally a baroness in a long Bavarian line dating back centuries, not always by marriage, to Mad King Ludwick II. That particular Ludwick was the guy who built the series of incredible defensive castles along what was then a southern border of his kingdom. These enormous, extravagant palaces were a testimony to Ludwick’s utter lack of sanity and his love for the grandiose. Indeed, he died bankrupt, in one of his unfinished masterpieces, the Schloss Herrenchiemsee, a magnificent structure on an island about half way between Munich and Salzburg, Austria.
