Roxxane's POV I never really had it in me for surprises. Once when I was little, my mother tried to surprise me on my birthday. She got the entire pack to plan one for me, hide behind the trees and fences, waiting to jump out and yell “Surprise!” when I came home from school. I screamed so loud the people thought we were under attack. I ended up crying instead of laughing, and my mother stood there awkwardly with a slice of cake in her hand. While my brother, Ronan, laughed his ass off. I was taunted for months. Since then, surprises and I never really got along.
