Chapter 1

Aurora

Earth has always been my home, my first memory of it was when we celebrated the homecoming and then i was just four years old, homecoming is the celebration of our people who died during the war with humans.

Talking about humans i have never had any encounter with them until;

Eight years ago.

My dad do call me koiro which in our language means the curious one, i always want to find out the reason for everything especially why the humans are living separate from us since we are living on their land. It was the curiosity that brought me to enter the forest that serve as the line that separate us before the fence, that was when i came upon the fact that changed my thinking for ever. A human boy was sleeping on the ground in my bid not to wake him up so i can study him well i stepped on a fallen branch, he raised up his head and he does not look suprised to see me, i was so scared because there is a story of how ruthless and wicked the humans are but this human looks harmless.

Each of us was watching the other to see the first one to react but he just withdrew his face and he continue digging the floor.

Hey,i said my name is Aurora and who are you what are you doing here, all he said was this use to be our land you know that right? i answered him yes because my father has been telling me the story of how we came to be here, then he asked me a question that makes me realize that this is a boy that hates my people, he said can you help me take it back that's how i became the first of my people to help an outsider.
