Billions of different demon races gathered within the forever expanding demonic palace, each of them trembling in fear on their knees. The strongest of all demons in Darkspace, excluding the seven demiurgic princes, Haldric, stepped forward to kneel before their lord.
"I've gathered all of the demons within the five hells here as you requested, my lord, but... Is it true you seek to return to your home realm?" Haldric said, trembling with fear.
Haldric couldn't help but ponder the demon lord's intentions. Maahes had been in Darkspace for thousands of years, uniting their realm and protecting them. But now, it seemed he longed to return home.
The demon lord, Maahes, sat on a throne made of the strongest demons in hell. His short curly white hair waved in the wind, and he wore a black Himation that showed off his brown skin and defined physique. His right eye resembled a clock, manipulating time, while his left eye was filled with stars, manipulating space. His two demonic horns resembled a dark crown.
"I've been down here for over eighteen thousand years, no better yet, I've wasted eighteen thousand years of my life down here for what?! The right to some petty title of the strongest!" The demon lord yelled in frustration.
Haldric, trying to ease the tension, asked, "Are you perhaps hungry, Lord Maahes?"
Haldric signaled for demons to bring something, and two yellow demons brought out a covered platter. Haldric lifted the platter to reveal the head of a mosquito-looking demon.
"We had the head of the last opposing noble demon prepared for you to feast on!" Haldric said, hoping to please his lord.
But to everyone's surprise, the head of the demon disintegrated along with the platter, causing the demons to clamor in fear.
"Don't you ever bring something that disgusting before me again," Maahes yelled, clearly displeased.
Maahes changed the scenery of the sky to a beautiful star show, looking off into the distance. He couldn't help but reflect on his time in Darkspace.
(I've had enough of this. I got dragged here by some portal, and now, after eighteen thousand years, I'm still stuck here with nothing but fools. I will admit it was fun at first, but eventually, I killed all the fun people...) Maahes thought, feeling a sense of emptiness.
"Maybe things would be different if... There was someone I loved here..." Maahes murmured, taking his sapphire ring off his left index finger and staring at it, lost in memories.
"Who about me...?" Someone from the crowd asked, interrupting Maahes' thoughts.
Demons began stepping aside as a beautiful succubus with a human appearance and voluptuous features approached Maahes. Her white hair matched Maahes' hair, and she had the same brown skin.
Maahes' face went blank when he stared at her. "It's Violet! I didn't know she had left the higher realms to visit the 5th hell," one demon said.
"She is most likely here to see our lord before he ascends," another demon added.
Violet, the succubus, approached Maahes, caressing his arm. "What do you say, my lord?" she asked seductively.
Maahes, overwhelmed by the stupidness of the demons around him, stood up from his throne. "I've made up my mind. I'm leaving this literal hell and returning home, where I can eat all the fried chicken I please!" Maahes declared, teleporting all the demons from inside his palace.
Later on, Haldric retrieved a black mage named Sekhmet at Maahes' request and brought him to the palace.
"I'm sure you know why I called you here today, Sekhmet," Maahes said, his determination evident.
"Yes, I've already made all the preparations. All you need to do is summon your core," Sekhmet replied confidently.
"Okay," Maahes said, feeling a mix of excitement and apprehension. He was finally going to return home and leave this place behind.
Suddenly, the entire palace began releasing a massive sapphire aura throughout the infinite Darkspace, causing all the realms to violently shake.
"It all makes sense now why the palace was infinitely expanding and evolving! Instead of sealing your power into a core, you transformed your core into an invincible palace! You're truly enigmatic, my lord!" Sekhmet exclaimed, in awe of Maahes' power.
But as the power surged through him, Maahes couldn't help but question his motives.
(I've been gathering power down here to return home, but now that I think about it, even when I return, nothing will be different for me. Or maybe everything would've changed, there's no way for me to know...) Maahes thought, feeling a sense of uncertainty.
A white portal opened in front of Maahes, and he stared at it for a moment before slowly walking through. Violet and Haldric pleaded for him to wait, but Maahes continued, falling into the flow of energy between realms.
Maahes found himself in a black room illuminated by a white orb. As he approached the orb, the entire room turned red.
"What the hell...?" Maahes murmured, confused by the sudden change.
Then, a voice echoed through the room, sending shivers down Maahes' spine. "[DEMIURGIC THREAT DETECTED WITHIN CREATION ZONE... ATTEMPTING TO ELIMINATE THREAT...]"
Maahes grunted in pain as the power of this outside force overwhelmed him. "What the hell is happening right now..." he thought, his mind racing.
"[DEMIURGIC THREAT TOO POWERFUL FOR ELIMINATION... ACTIVATING FAILSAFE... ZEUS SYSTEM IS ACTIVATED...]"
"[ZEUS SYSTEM IS SEALING AWAY THE DEMIURGIC THREAT... PLEASE WAIT...]"
Maahes felt his power being sealed away, and he couldn't comprehend how this was happening. "My power is being sealed... How the hell is this happening to me right now... I just wanted to eat some fried chicken..." he thought, his frustration growing.
Finally, Maahes fell unconscious as the Zeus system completed its task, sealing him away.
