590 Words
On the eleventh of April, The three girls decided to meet on Pizza Casa. This time, Leonie wanted to show the first part of her story with her two best friends. "Leonie, are you sure of this? Your main character is dying, how can you make the story's ending happy?" Claire was protesting after she reviewed the first episode of the blog. "Are you telling me that once the main character is dying, then there's no happy ending?" Leonie jested in response. "YOLO, don't you know that? YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE, girl. Be realistic, are you going to make it as fantasy.... That a dying man magically healed by a potion? Nah!" Claire replied with her hands waving in the air, vividly showing her dissatisfaction. Bhea, on the other hand, liked how Leonie created her main character. She was enticed by the way Rodney Janzen's looks, an epitome of Modern Narcissus. "My goodness, Leonie! How could you make this handsome man die. For sure, your readers will kill you in madness!" screamed Bhea whose eyes were still on the screen of her laptop. "Psssst, guys, don't be too over acting. I'll try to fix it." Leonie said in between sipping the cocktail juice they ordered. "Wait a second, have you sent this to Mr. Arguelles? What did he say?" asked Claire whose still in doubt on the success of her best friend's storyline. "They had the same comment, but they will still post it. If the readers liked it, then I have to make a miracle to change Rodney's situation." elaborated Leonie while crunching the Chicharon ni Mang Juan between her teeth. "Miracle! That's what you need to win the competition if you will not change the character's ending. Nowadays, most people like happy ending just to get away on stress and economic crisis." chuckled Bhea as she lifted the spaghetti noodles with her fork. "When are they going to upload the story anyway?" asked Claire who was busy finishing her last slice of pizza. "Today." Leonie said cautiously. "Right now?!!!" said the two girls in duo. The two quickly searched for their cell phones and opened the data. They then browsed the Light House University's website. Their eyes rolled as they gazed upon the webpage and its results. "Leonie, look! Your creation is having huge readers." Bhea could not keep her excitement while browsing the webpage. Leonie approached Bhea and peeped into the screen of her cell phone. Afterward, a small smile of satisfaction came out of her face. "Leonie, if I were you I'll make him live not in magical way, hah. Make a miracle, please." pleaded Bhea. This time she was browsing on the comments made by the readers. "I'll think about it." Leonie remained focus on eating her pizza. "Girl, don't be like other writers there who didn't have the heart for their creations. Or maybe that's the outcome of your emotional sentiment. Nah." complained Claire. Her eyes were still stuck on the screen of her cell phone. "Have I not told you?" She said while taking a deep breath. "What?" the two replied in synchronize manner. "There was a change of plan. My parents are now in California and they wanted me to go there to pursue nursing, instead." She quietly responded. Her eyes looked away, she didn't want to see their sad expression. There was silence between them. They did not say anything, but the tension and sadness were felt just around the corner. A few minutes after, Bhea, a natural clown of the group, said, "We're happy for you." They stretched each others' arms and made a big hug. They believed that their friendship will stay come what may.
