I probably should have just taken the chance and talked to Liam about all this.
Too late now, though, I think grimly as I glance sideways at Harley, who’s actually Will.
I can’t believe he can Skin Shift. How long has he known? How was I the only one who didn’t seem to know?
When all this is over, will it even be possible for us to come back to each other—to find the happiness we almost had together, before things unraveled?
Or will we both be too far gone?
So far, our plan has worked almost flawlessly. Silas wasn’t thrilled with Rachel when he saw how few students joined us outside of the Academy walls, but given that she seemingly managed to convince Harley Harris, who is far more valuable than any of them, he doesn’t seem to linger on it too heavily.
