Have you ever had your heart broken?
If you’re not sure, then the answer’s no.
You would know—I promise you that. You would feel like someone just punched you in the gut so hard, you can’t breathe, think, or even see straight. You would feel like your entire world was caving in on you, and you had no idea how you were going to take the next step forward.
I heard. I heard everything.
I know, I know—I shouldn’t have spied. The moment someone in a relationship resorts to such desperate and unforgivable measures, you know the relationship has problems.
It’s in my nature, though. I’m a Shifter. It’s just so easy to Shift into the right tiny, little animal to slip under the crack in the door and just… listen.
