Grace “Get on your knees,” he said, his voice low and firm, leaving no room for defiance. I froze as the words echoed around the office. Did he just say that? My eyes flicked to his face, searching for a smirk, a crack in his cold expression, anything that would make this a twisted joke. But nothing, not even a twitch of amusement.
