Grace The vibrating suddenly stopped. I froze, not expecting it to end as soon as it had started. My breath caught in my throat, my body still quivering, and before I could stop myself, I looked back. Apollo’s back was already to me, his tall frame moving toward the exit, walking away as if none of it had ever happened to begin with. Genesis, who had just lifted her fork, widened her eyes. “You’ve got to be kidding me,” she muttered. “I just started eating.” Apollo didn’t respond, or looked back. Maybe he didn’t hear her, or maybe he just didn’t care. Genesis sighed dramatically, stood up, grabbed an apple from the tray, and turned. Her eyes landed on me, and she smiled, before giving me a quick wink. Luckily, no one else noticed. The tables were close enough that it was hard to tell
