Celeste’s heart was thumping loudly inside her chest, threatening to break her bones and burst right out of her rib cage, that was actually trying to protect her fragile heart, that didn’t seem to hold itself back.
She gulped down hard, trying to swallow the lump of anxiety formed inside her throat but nothing seemed to make sense of her, as Charlie turned entirely and completely towards her, taking steps in to her direction, that made her lift her feet up and move in to the opposite direction to an approaching Charlie, who didn’t stop, until Celeste’s back hit the wall and taking advantage of the moment, he placed both of his hands on the wall, on Celeste’s either sides, trapping her entirely and finally caging her in between his arms.
