Jace Langford addressing the audience in the same event as me? Someone in the council clearly set this up to mess with me.
My jaw clenched as I watched him approach the podium while the crowd cheered and applauded him. His face held that ugly, thin line of smile that made my nerves almost c***k.
I tried looking away from him, but the rage brewing in me wouldn't let me. I found myself grimacing at the sight of his face.
