By the time we arrived at the company, one of the doormen grabbed the bags from the car, “Take those to her office.” He said to them as we all made it towards my office when Ruby appeared.
“Mr Langford, you’ve returned.” She started with a smug look on her face. She darted her eyes at the shopping bags, “Is this what took you all so long?” With a single finger, she pulled one of the bags slightly open and peeped inside, then she raised her gaze to me, and ran her eyes through me with a look of disgust on her face. She then turned to Jace, “Mr Langford, you took her shopping?”
“And what gives you the right to question me like that?” Jace said to her with an expressionless face as he gestured to the man with the bags where he could drop them.
