As you may have guessed, a lot went down in that board meeting, as expected. Jace and I were back home, except he was no longer allowed in my space as long as he wanted me to stay under his roof.
I chuckled as I remembered the shocked look on his face when I set that rule.
“Do you think I'll cut the baby out of your belly when we're together?” He had asked with a stunned look on his face. I glanced at my dress on the bed, and a smile spread out on my face.
I was about to treat myself to time alone, and goodness! My stomach wouldn't stop fluttering with butterflies. Of course I knew he wasn't just going to snatch my baby from me, even after birth. But I couldn't trust my feelings.
