Lily Rose stepped off the bus and onto the quaint Main Street of Ashwood, her guitar case slung over her shoulder. The crisp mountain air filled her lungs as she gazed up at the charming shops and cafes. This small town was a far cry from the bustling city she'd left behind.
After a painful breakup and a stalled music career, Lily sought a fresh start. Ashwood's natural beauty and rumored artistic community drew her in. She hoped to rediscover her creative spark and heal her broken heart.
As she walked down the street, Lily noticed a flyer advertising an open mic night at the local music venue, The Howling Wolf. Her pulse quickened. This could be the perfect opportunity to meet fellow musicians and potentially find inspiration.
Lily checked into the cozy Ashwood Inn and spent the afternoon exploring the town. As dusk fell, she settled into the inn's porch with her guitar, strumming a melancholy tune.
Just as she began to lose herself in the music, a figure emerged from the shadows. Tall, with piercing blue eyes and jet-black hair, he watched her with an intensity that made Lily's skin prickle.
"Sorry to interrupt," he said, his deep voice sending shivers down her spine. "You're quite talented."
Lily smiled, feeling a spark of connection. "Thanks. I'm Lily."
"Luca," he replied, his gaze lingering on hers before he vanished into the night.
